Malvasia Bianca

Malvasia Bianca is a variety of the European grape species Vitis vinifera grown widely throughout Europe and the world. In Italia it is also called Malvasia di Candia. It is often used in fortified wines. As with many of the older varietals, this one most likely originated in Greece but its origins have been obscured by history.
